Therapist reacts to Alice in Chains Nutshell

Can you react to jordan by complete

Great song and great reaction/analysis. You should checkout Dave Matthew’s - Bartender live at radio studio music hall with Tim Reynolds. It’s amazing vocally and cover getting old and wishing for more time.

Fighting his battle all alone, in my opinion, also refers to him losing his girlfriend to heroin. She was very special to him

I’ve felt like this for so many years of my life. Therapy has been my saving grace. It has helped me to take steps up that mountain without even realizing I am. After a few years with an amazing therapist, I can now look down and see how much I’ve already climbed.

ah, you reached the Alice in chains chapter… its time for some feelings again

Nirvana - You Know You’re Right

He was dying during this and said he was gonna years before. It’s so sad I’ve heard so many stories about what a beautiful person he was to be around.

You should review “slip away” by mad season, also “wake up” by mad season. Heavy hitters.
I like your insights.

The entire Jar Of Flies EP that this song is on is absolutely worth your time

thank you…

RIP, Layne. Your gifts to us will never be forgotten. :pensive:

This is the sadest song ever. So hauntingly beautiful that it hurts my soul…

It only gets heavier. Layne was was able to put his feelings into lyrics that will life forever. The best band of the 90s.

Corey Taylor and Aaron Lewis nail down in a hole unplugged, you should give it a listen

Down in a hole from this unplugged is a MUST.

Wow never listened to it?!?! Welcome to the grunge times. Seen them in Portland and Seattle a number of times. What I will tell you is grunge can strongly be well translated and sometimes even more felt so than live. Funny story. We used to play at the Jambox in Seattle. Jambox was a huge place with a bunch of rooms for rehearsing, gathering to have conversation and there was one HUGE room that was at the end of the building. AIC was known to play and rehearse on occasion. I was lucky enough to be there once. Anyways, a buddy and I went to Dick’s Hamburgers to grab a bite and then to Safeway to pick up some beverage. Well, my buddy was a free spirit and started conversation with a couple ladies in the store. It was always entertaining to watch, hardly wanted to join in and participate in sporadic chit chat. I got tired of waiting at the door and conversation obviously changed so I wandered over to say hi and see what’s up. Well, it ended up being Layne’s mom and sister lol. At the time they were alive and well playing the circuits. AIC has saved me from myself, for real. Every member Jerry, Sean, Mike are amazing musicians and it’s a shame Layne couldn’t be here to share the good times that were laid in front of him. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

To my knowledge, Jerry Cantrell was the one who wrote the songs knowing about Lane in four lane to sing

dirt was my fave grunge album

Layne died when I was 7. I’ve only properly got into AIC since last year and he has impacted me so much. I would have given anything to see him in his prime. RIP you fucking legend
