Therapist reacts to BLACK by PearlJam

Had no idea at 20, that my favorite song at the time, would find me almost 30 years later. Hundreds of plays, as I faced the pain and sadness head on, of my wife of 25 years, leaving our family

This channel, this woman, this team… amazing.:pray::100::+1::+1:

Would love to see you reaction to Tool performing Sober at the 1993 Reading Festival. This is a master class in art imitating life with the struggle of addiction and wanting to break away from it.

You explained this so well and I listened and seen them live but I don’t actually realize most of the song words lol ,I’ve been singing along and just sing what I think it is but seeing comments on videos I’m way of lol :joy:

"We belong…we belong together " breaks my heart everytime

Have to listen to Yellow Ledbetter after this. This song though, it’s the main one. He definitely spoke to heartbreak. Perfectly.

why can’t it be mine ------ slays me.- – - this man is gorgeous w a glorious voice. - - - i cannot tell ja how many times i listened to this after being very betrayed, depressed… but there is a purpose and a need to speak our hurt. i believe this was after a very hard breakup/divorce? … this is a Staylist for me, not to swim in dark waters, but to. — - - we need to allow ourselves to hurt. be angry. and then reqch for the kindness w/in us.

I’m crying. This blackness is all I see…all I feel.

I am 59 years old and a widower when I feel bad I listen to this song and somehow it makes me feel at peace

In reference to the second verse, go listen to “Sunday Morning, Coming Down” by Kristoffer Kristofferson. It’s basically the same feel.

Totally love that you shouted out the comment wall for support. I recently posted a comment on a Facebook post referencing how, as a sexual abuse victim, it’s difficult to see abusers put on a pedestal. It’s gotten likes and a couple positive comments, but mostly other guys throwing insults at me. The world can be ugly, but the comments on your videos always seem to be a place of support and acceptance and that’s priceless. Thank you for providing a light and safe place for people.

I can’t listen to this song without balling my eyes out.

Broken is the new normal.

aw he got you…

Miss my wife soo much…

Hurt more like death…

The we belong together, of course was an ad Lib… These unplugged performances were so profound and the audience was so lucky to be there to witness history so many great bands… Especially this one good video. I’m not much of a YouTube person.

If you don’t understand the song, then it’s not meant for you. Alive saved my life.

Do future dayssss…

This was awesome
