Thank you for your reaction and grappling with the disparity of this song. There is a brokenness and a hole in the human heart that can only be filled by the God that is missing. We are born broken, but he came down in flesh and blood and died to fill the hole that we can’t. Without Him, all is hopeless.

I think exploring the music of Alec Benjamin would be a good idea as well. He explores some of the same themes of the mind, trauma and society issues, though he’s not as similar to NF in terms of vocals and instruments, but still would be a good choice in my opinion! (One of his most recent ones was “I sent my therapist to therapy.”)
