Its funny that people who dont understand the Abrahamic religions and Christianity in general just make stuff up not knowing what they are hearing in SOAD songs when many of their songs are clearly Biblical concepts and imagery. This song is about the path humans take after the fall. He even says it in the first line. Life is a waterfall We’re one in the river And one again after the fall. If you watch the video at one point a bright light from above shines down as they look up. That represents God descending down passing judgement on man,… you always wanna play but you never wanna lose.
